I have designed a full conversion kit for the Revell 1/72 Lancaster to fit the following kits from 2007 onwards. 04295, 04300 and 05696.
This will fully convert the standard Mk3 main force or the Mk3 type 464 ‘Dambuster’ to the Grand slam Lancaster Mk1 Special that carried the 22,000lb earthquake bomb.
The kit includes;
A full replacement under fairing which also replaces the standard cockpit floor from the kit, a nose turret delete, the grand slam bomb in three parts and the ring that holds the grand slam to the aircraft.
The fins on the rear part of the grand slam come pre assembled, these are set at the correct 5 degree angle as originally designed by Barnes Wallis.
Sanding and filling will be required, this conversion is advanced/expert level
The kit has holes and seat posts for the main spar, Nav and radio operator seats, and pilot deck.
These holes may need to be manually drilled slightly bigger using a hand drill.
